In previously treated patients, the drug should be prescribed after laboratory testing of mycobacteria isolated from patients for sensitivity to streptomycin.Streptomycin is also used for purulent-inflammatory processes of various localization due to gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, susceptible to the drug: pneumonia due to Klebsiella, plague and tularemia, brucellosis and endocarditis.
